iStrat Support Services provides support to Southern California Edison

 

May 15, 2006 -- iStrat Support Services, Inc. is pleased to announce an agreement to provide technical support for Southern California Edison (SCE).   The work involves upgrading the current operating system to a fully supported system.

Lionel Wertz, Chairman of iStrat Support Services, said, “We are thrilled to be afforded the opportunity to provide SCE the resources necessary to upgrade their operating system to provide better stability and support.”

Danny Willis, Vice President of Business Development for iStrat stated “iStrat Support Service welcomes the opportunity to work with a world class organization like SCE.  The upcoming project will allow both companies to share knowledge and gain valuable experience during the upgrade.”

Ken Hedwall, Vice President of Information Technology for iStrat stated “We are very excited to be working with a California company and guiding SCE thru the upgrade process.”

The origin of the Edison name can be traced to the 1897 creation of the Edison Electric Company of Los Angeles, which in 1909 became Southern California Edison. Today SCE is one of the largest electric utilities in the U.S., and the largest subsidiary of Edison International. SCE is the product of more than a century of being there to provide reliable electric service, a necessity to modern life and progress, to some of the most dynamic areas of central, coastal and southern California.

SCE provides electric power to the region through its nuclear, coal and hydro generating stations. SCE continuously looks for ways to improve its environmental performance and seeks to prevent or reduce the environmental impacts of producing and distributing electricity.
