Enterprise Information Strategy Consulting Firm lands in San Diego

June 26, 2002 -- Marcus Gee, President and CEO iStrat Support Services, today announced the launching of the company.  Based in London, Arkansas , iStrat specializes in providing customers with an integrated, enterprise-wide approach to meeting their information systems needs, and aligning those systems with their core business requirements.  iStrat may be new in its formation, but it's already rich in it's experience and talent.  The iStrat Team consists of a number of very senior Program and Project Managers with decades of experience supporting the implementation and production support needs of customers nation-wide.

In his statement today, Mr. Gee indicated that iStrat will provide support in three basic areas – Strategic Planning, Life Cycle Implementation Services, and Post Implementation Support. 

Strategic Planning Services Support will include Functional and Systems Process Mapping, Product Evaluation and Selection, and Project or Program Planning and Mobilization.  Life Cycle Implementation Services Support will include Project and Program Management (from conception through scope definition and business case development, team formation and kick-off, implementation, roll-out, close out, and support transition), Communications Program Planning and Implementation Support, Testing Life Cycle Planning and Implementation, Education and Training Planning and Implementation, including WBT development, data services support, and Project or Program Assessments.  Post Implementation Support Services will include optimizing Production Support Activities, Configuration Management Planning and Implementation, Providing Production Support Work Shops, and providing Lessons Learned Analysis, Review and Reporting.

iStrat will take a new, enterprise-wide approach to delivering real Return on Investment and Return on Assets to companies” Mr. Gee said.  “Few companies today are achieving real, quantifiable results today in terms of their Return on Investment or Return on Assets objectives.  When you start examining the root causes, you generally find problems in three particular areas.  These barriers take the form of configuration management issues, production support issues, or a group of issues that I’ll term business ownership issues.  The key is in determining appropriate ownership of different aspects of the systems, engaging those owners, and organizing their support in such a way that the systems better support the needs of the business.  iStrat Support Services believes that we can bring a great deal of value to the table here, and we're looking forward to being able to make a difference for our customers."
