Strategic Planning is defined as an activity involving a select team of decision makers chartered with determing if implementing new technology will provide a business advantage and a return on investment that justifies the time and expense of a new software system.

P Meet with the project team and executive

P Conduct a leadership kick-off meeting to share
      the project vision and goals; and
P Meet with key individuals within the company
      to determine overall project requirements.

during this phase includes:

P Approval matrix for project documentation;
P ‘Gate’ requirements for each phase;
P Project charter;
P Project metrics; and
P Level 1 project schedule.

The Project Feasibility phase is considered complete when the Business Case and Project Charter have been finalized by the project team, and reviewed and approved by the project sponsor and / or the executive committee.
