Project Definition and Planning

The Project Definition and Planning phase is defined as that time when the project leadership will develop the fundamental project documentation that will be used to drive and manage the project.

Experience has shown that the planning process is key to conducting a successful implementation. iStrat brings our experienced Project Managers into your project team to help you develop an optimized Project Plan and Schedule that will help you to keep the project within the parameters of the business case and project charter. Each of the Project Managers at iStrat have long-established track records for delivering scope on time and budget.

A sample of the activities iStrat Support typically performs
during this phase includes:

P Establish the project office;
P Implement the project library;
P Conduct team-building meetings; and
P Plan for the Business Process Labs.

A sample of the deliverables that iStrat typically develops
during this phase includes:

P Project plan;
P Project schedule (WBS);

The Project Definition and Planning phase is considered finished when the critical documentation has been completed by the project team, and the appropriate documents have been reviewed and approved by the project sponsor and/or the executive committee.
