Build and Unit Test

The Build and Unit Test phase is defined as that time when the business and technical teams will configure the applications, convert the data, and build the interfaces that support the software and business requirements. They will also ensure that the individual modules are working as designed.

iStrat analysts have done this before. Their experience will help you to avoid the common mistakes that can extend this phase of the project and impact the testing schedule.

A sample of the activities occurring during this phase includes:

P Conduct bench test of BPL requirements document
      processes;
P Finalize code tables and preferences for testing;
P
Build & test data conversion programs; and
P Conduct the pilot training class.

A sample of the deliverables that must be developed
during this phase includes:

P Desktop guides;
P Instructor material;
P Training matrix;
P Training schedule;
P Road show plan; and
P Data extraction programs.

The Build and Unit Test phase is considered finished when each module or application has passed a series of unit-level tests, proving that the preferences and data support the business processes, and that business can be conducted within the applications.
